Penny Kaela Bauer

Penny Kaela Bauer now resides in the Pacific Northwest and feels deep gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with others in the creation of The Gifts Project.

The primary focus of her photographic art since 1998 has been creating black and white images of wise women and men from diverse backgrounds and cultures, each one offering us a gift.  Her work has been exhibited in the San Francisco Bay Area and Washington, has appeared in a variety of publications, and now can be seen in The Second Half of Life by Angeles Arrien. Through this website, illustrated lectures, and workshops, she hopes to make these gifts available to us all. Images from The Circle of Elders and The Bauer Studio are available as Black and White Archival Pigment Prints.

In her color photography she seeks to capture those moments when light, color and the indefinable combine to deepen our experience of a moment in time. She makes these images available in Archival Pigment Prints as a beautiful and moving focal point in the home and/or workplace. Proceeds from prints and cards help support The Gifts Project.

Always fascinated with the visible and invisible realms and our relationship to them, she provides the opportunity for a rich ongoing conversation between the image and viewer.
